Heat Pack - 72 Hours
This is a 72 hour heat pack that should be added to any order during cold weather. The temperatures necessary for a heat pack will depend on the species being shipped and the local temperature. Please note the temperature range for the species in your order, and reference your local weather for the next week. If unsure, please error on the side of caution or reach out to me by email.
Species Limits:
Lowland Nepenthes, Lowland Bladderworts, Tropical Butterworts, Petiolaris Sundews:
50°F limit: Include heat pack if high is under 50°F or low is under 40°F.
Pygmy Sundews, Subtropical Sundews, Subtropical Bladderworts:
40°F limit: Include heat pack if high is under 40°F or low is under 30°F.
Venus Flytraps, Sarracenia:
30°F limit: Include heat pack if high is under 30°F or low is under 20°F.
Generally, plants in shipping will be slightly insulated from the outdoors, but here are basic guidelines:
Check the next week of temperature forecasts for you local area.
If any of the daily high temperatures is below the plant’s lower limit, include a heat pack.
If any of the daily low temperatures is more than 10°F below the plant’s lower limit listed in the growing information under “Climate”, include a heat pack.
