Pygmy Sundew Gemmae Kit
Description
Want to get started with Pygmy Sundews? This kit is the perfect way to grow your own carnivorous pygmy forest. You will only need to add bright light (at least a few hours of sun per day or strong LED grow lights) and distilled water (found at any grocery store, not spring water).
Pygmy Sundews are the most incredible, miniature carnivorous plants. They love to eat bugs, grow super fast, and have beautiful flowers. To grow your own pygmies, gently place the gemmae on the surface of moist soil and cover with a plastic bag to keep humid. Within 1-2 weeks, the gemmae will sprout and start growing.
This addon kit includes: Pot, Tray, and Soil. Gemmae should be purchased separately so you can choose the exact species you want!
See gemmae species availability.
Pot is a high quality, rigid plastic pot that is the perfect size for Pygmy Sundews. 3.55”D x 4.16”H. Includes a shallow tray that can remain full of water.
Soil is a well draining mix of premium peat moss and perlite. Top dressings of Volcanic Clay Granules or Akadama are available as add-ons and are great for gemmae.
Note: Photos include multi-species pots as an example.
